After a successful first year, Summer of Biz placed 23 HR, marketing and HR interns into roles across Wellington in 2017. Many of these interns have stayed on in fulltime roles which has been even better.

We’re back in 2018, on the same mission: connecting talented graduates with forward-thinking employers.

Come along to our annual launch this Wednesday to hear past interns share their experiences. It’s free to attend, at Victoria University 5.30pm, Thursday 22nd March. Register for the launch here.

We had a range of employers come onboard in 2017 including government departments like the NZ Defence Force, large corporates like Trade Me and small businesses like Engage HR. These employers were able to leverage the fresh ideas and enthusiasm of their interns, while interns get a headstart on their chosen careers with valuable experience.

“The experiences and knowledge I have gained from this internship are invaluable.” ~ Annaleisha Fensom, Social Media Advisor internship with NZ Defence Force

Throughout the year, we support students with career, CV and work skill bootcamps to bridge the gap between university tuition and your first graduate role. These are invaluable sessions that expose students to practical, hands on skills and also allow networking with potential employers. To understand the process through the eyes of another student, take a read of Helena’s journey.

To secure the best chance to gain an internship with Summer of Biz, get involved now! Come along to our Victoria University launch 5.30pm, Thursday 22nd March. Register for the launch here.
